Microsoft Publisher Ideas
Activity/ Event
Use the Activity/ Event templates to let parents know of upcoming activities or class trips in a professional manner. They have spaces for itinerary and maps of location destinations. The web versions have a hyper button to allow parents or students to sign up for the activity from home. If you are learning about internment camps, take a trip past Delta and have the students design the itinerary brochure about what they expect to learn.

Stationary, Postcards and Envelopes
Using these templates allow all your contact information to appear on everything you may send home with a student or parents. They are very professional and personalized.
Students can create their own headings and use the different stationary styles to publish creative writing. Using a webpage format, they could get feedback from other classmates based on the heading information.

Blank sheet Templates
These different formats, top fold cards, banner sheets, index cards, and poster, will allow a teacher to quickly place information on them without a lot of cutting and pasting. The different formats will add interest to teaching, and they will be immediately available for printing and will save a lot of preparation time. Students can set up group banners that display what their group will be presenting, research information made by individual students could be presented at their desk on top fold cards for other students to view and use for information sources. The index card format could be a great way for students to store and print facts and research sources.

Quick Publications for Print
These templates provide students with great covers to use when compiling and printing final copy works of poetry, short stories, or artwork. If they create a professional cover first, then they may care more about what goes into it.

Several of the templates could be used by students to create quizzes or activities for fellow students as they peer assess and share each other’s assigned reading.
